BLUE SHORE Maximum trail height is 0.7M Minimum trail width is equal to trail height - Blue Shore trails are suitable for "shore virgins" who lack previous "shore" riding experience - They are not however, suitable for novice riders with no previous off-road cycling experience - Please note that all shore riding carries risk of accident and injury, even when using the Blue trails - There are no free drops, jumps or mandatory air on Blue trails, the trails are fully roll-able - They do not have very steep elevations, and turns are generally less tight to make navigation easier - The Blue trails have a "dual user" design that more skilled riders can exploit to get air, do tricks or tech moves - We strongly recommend that all riders warm up on the Blue trails before moving onto using the Red trails - There are five Blue trails at Esher Shore, please see below:
Shore Virgins Shore Virgins is our introduction to elevated trail riding - our longest Blue trail with a smooth flow which makes it ideal for warming up Rebuilt during early 2007, Shore Virgins has been re-routed to run through a small clump of trees next to Stuntman Shore Virgins is great fun to ride for riders of all abilities, and ends with a link into The Return Climb
Stuntboy Stuntboy is the next step up from Shore Virgins and starts with a challenging technical section of steps and an in-line see-saw The trail then splits to offer a choice of riding over a large tree stump, or making a turn into Blue trail Sneaky Does it Following the Stuntboy trail takes riders down the hill, over a small steep and into a tabletop stunt before linking into The Return Climb Stuntboy was rebuilt during 2007, with an improved lower section to replace the old tabletop into a berm
Sneaky Does It Sneaky Does It is, as the name suggest, a sneaky shortcut between Stuntboy and the middle of The Return Climb It branches off Stuntboy and winds through some holly bushes before turning round and climbing back up a steep elevation Great fun for riders seeking a technical climbing challenge, or for riders looking to try out their dual chain ring setup!
The Woodpile The Woodpile was originally the wood store for Esher Shore, until we decided the space was better used for a multi-line trail The Woodpile offers a very technical challenge, and links into the Red trail Rotor Wrecker to provide a super technical run We have started to add new lines to the trail, and it will continue to evolve during 2008 into a more complex setup We have plans to remove the inner set of park gates, which will allow us to introduce a new entrance to The Woodpile
The Return Climb The Return Climb is an innovative idea that starts at the end of each of the Blue trails, and several of the Red trails This provides a rideable line back to the top of Esher Shore, and adds substantial length to the Esher Shore trails Half way up the trail is a more technical split leading to Red trail Cheeky Chappy The Return Climb has a good flow, despite being an uphill climb, and has a variety of technical challenges across its length |
